Hey! I’m Megan.

Dietitian, recipe developer & digital content creator

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons I), I'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Nutritionist based in Brisbane, Australia.

In private practice, I see clients online from Australia and across the world. I take a holistic approach that includes stress, sleep and physical activity with a special interest in plant-based nutrition, women’s health, eating disorders and digestive health.

A creative at heart, I also work with brands and organisations to support eating delicious, nutritious food and embracing a healthy relationship with food and your body.

On the weekend, you’ll find me catching up for brunch with the girls, exploring Queensland’s beauty or cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

The Healthy Label: where it all began

During my studies in nutrition and dietetics, I became aware of just how much nutrition misinformation existed in the online space.

  • Should you go vegan, dairy free, paleo or keto? How about gluten free?

  • Is celery juice a magical 'cure-all'? (Spoiler, no.)

  • Can you detox your body by purchasing expensive juice cleanses, pills and herbal supplements?

I realised how incredibly confusing it must be for people to navigate the vast amount of nutrition noise on social media - and decided to do something about it.

In 2018, I started The Healthy Label to provide a platform that simplifies healthy eating in an online world of misinformation. My mission is to break down misconceptions around nutrition and support you to maintain a healthy relationship with food and your body.

I am also passionate about inspiring people to eat more plants, spending hundreds of hours in the kitchen testing delicious recipes that I can share with all of you!

The nutrition philosophy

→ ‘Health’ encompasses not just nutrition - but also physical, social, mental and emotional wellbeing.

→ Even if a diet or way of eating works for someone else, it might not be best for you.

How and why you eat is just as important as what you eat.
